The 2026 Maritime Washington Grant Program supports projects and programs that interpret our state’s maritime heritage. Before applying, please review details about this program’s requirements and eligibility in our Program Guide. If you have any questions about this application, we encourage you to check out our FAQs page, join Maritime Washington staff for virtual office hours on Wednesday, April 1 at 4:00 pm (register here), or contact us at [email protected].
All applications must be submitted via our online form, which will be open and linked below from March 4 through April 24 at 5:00 pm.
Before you get started
Because our online submission form does not reliably save progress, please plan to submit your application in one sitting. Before you begin the online application, please make sure you have the following ready:
- Prepared application answers. We strongly recommend downloading a copy of the application questions and preparing your answers in a separate document in advance of completing this form. Click here to download a copy of the application questions as a Word document. (Recommended)
- Federally-issued Unique Entity ID. The federal government requires a new Unique Entity ID (UEI) to replace the DUNS number for all organizations receiving federal funds. As this grant program is federally-funded, you will need to include your UEI in your application. If you need help to obtain a Unique Entity ID, please visit the SAM.gov website for assistance. There is NO CHARGE for this number. Once on the SAM.gov site, please look to the right of the screen. It will state: Register Your Entity or Get a Unique Entity ID. Please enter this portal, and it will walk you through the steps to obtain a UEI. (Please note: you do not need to register your organization in SAM.gov—you simply just need to get a Unique Entity ID.) (Required)
- Completed Project Budget Worksheet. The second tab of the worksheet includes a sample project budget. Download the worksheet here. (Required)
- Supporting Documents. Up to five photos/documents illustrating your project planning and/or budgeting, and any letters of support. (Optional)
We estimate that this application will take you no more than two to three hours to complete. For any additional support, please contact us at [email protected].
All applicants will be notified of their grant award status by the end of June 2026. Grant contracts will be drafted in July 2026.
