Register for Harbor History Museum Field Trip

Friday, February 20, 2026 | 10:30 am – 02:30 pm

Harbor History Museum, 4121 Harborview Dr, Gig Harbor, WA 98332

In 2025, the Harbor History Museum opened a new Maritime Gallery, featuring the beautifully restored and interpreted Shenandoah (a 100-year-old, 65′ purse seiner fishing vessel), Thunderbird #1, and numerous other small craft that represent Gig Harbor’s boat building heritage. This field trip will explore the new gallery and how Maritime Washington partners can use exhibits to share our state’s maritime stories. After our tour, we’ll discuss what we’ve learned and how it applies to our own sites with the guidance of expert interpretive trainer Emily Jacobs over a BYO lunch.
