Event: Free Steamship Sunday + CWB Public Sail

June 25, 2025 // Carson Meacham

Sundays, June 29, July 27, August 31, and September 28 | Seattle

Friends of all ages are invited to enjoy FREE cruises on Lake Union aboard the historic Virginia V or one of the Center for Wooden Boat’s small boats!

For the second year running, Maritime Washington is proud to sponsor FREE cruises aboard the Virginia V as part of their Steamship Sundays program, held in conjunction with the Center for Wooden Boats’ famous Sunday Public Sails!

Explore Lake Union with a historic cruise aboard the Virginia V or get afloat with a volunteer skipper aboard one of CWB’s schooners, yawls, steamboats, or other small vessels.

Sign-ups for both the Virginia V and CWB vessels are first-come, first-served and begin at 10:00 am in front of the Wagner Education Center. We recommend arriving early to ensure you get the time and boat you want. Please note that there will be two lines to choose from: one for the Virginia V and the other for CWB vessels.

The Maritime Washington National Heritage Area is proud to sponsor Steamship Sunday cruises in June, July, August, and September so that attendees will also have the opportunity to ride aboard the Virginia V for free! Thank you to 4Culture, Seattle Office of Arts and Culture, and MOHAI for their general support of Steamship Sundays and the Sunday Public Sail program.

When: June 29, July 27, August 31, and September 28, 10:00 am – 3:30 pm
Where: Center for Wooden Boats Wagner Education Center, 1010 Valley Street, Seattle, WA 98109
