SUMMARY:Partner Field Trip: Seattle Waterfront
DESCRIPTION:Please note that this event has been rescheduled and will now be held on August 8\, 2025. Thank you for your understanding! \nThe removal of Seattle’s Viaduct opened up a wealth of new waterfront space for residents to connect with Puget Sound. Since 2019\, the City of Seattle\, in partnership with the community and the nonprofit Friends of Waterfront Park\, has been transforming this area into a vibrant new public park. As part of this revitalization\, a wealth of new interpretive materials will bring the waterfront’s history\, culture\, and environment to life. Join City of Seattle staff for a guided tour to discover how storytelling and interpretation have been thoughtfully woven into its design and signage. After our tour\, we’ll discuss what we’ve learned and how it applies to our own sites with the guidance of expert interpretive trainer Emily Jacobs. \n \n\n \n \n Register for Seattle Waterfront Field Trip\n Use this form to register for the Maritime Washington Partner Field Trip to the Seattle Waterfront.
